Happy Birthday Dad

It's the 24th of December

Looking at the years passed, a walk to remember

I put this ink on paper and thoughts flow tender

Its all about my father.

A daughter's first love,

A son's super hero.

A family's provider.

Growing up, I heard stories of his lifes' long endeavors.

Living life, I watched him reap the fruit of his labors.

His life be a lesson, he is my mentor

His flaws, be his strength to render

Heart full of love with the feeling so tender

He a go getter, no retreat no surrender

I can go on telling you about him with great splendor

But this is to show apprreciation for his love

For today you be celebrated

With wishes from family and friends

You are loved

With prayers from family and friends

You are blessed

With gifts from family and friends

You are favoured

To every birth day, be a celebration of years lived

And a preparation for years to come.
