Pastor Adeboye At 73: READ Jonathan’s Touching Message To Him

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye is celebrating his 73rd birthday today, March 2, 2015.

President Goodluck Jonathan, in a congratulatory letter thanked Adeboye for his productive spiritual leadership which he provides for members of his church and Christians in Nigeria, The Nation reports.
In a statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, the President thanked Adeboye for prayerfully supporting his administration.

The statement read: “It gives me great pleasure to felicitate with you on the occasion of your 73rd birthday.
“Our Administration and the Nigerian nation owe you a debt of gratitude for your prayerful support and the productive spiritual leadership you continue to provide, not just for the millions that constitute the membership of the Redeemed Christian Church of God across the world, but also for the entire body of Christ in Nigeria.
“On a personal level, I have left every meeting with you greatly strengthened and deeply inspired by your steadfast faith and commitment to the peace, stability, growth and development of our dear nation.
“I pray that Almighty God continues to imbue you with robust health and enduring fulfillment in the many more years of worthy service ahead of you.”
President Jonathan wished Pastor Adeboye very happy birthday celebrations.
For years, Adeboye has been associated with Jonathan. He even attended the wedding of Jonathan’s foster daughter Faith held earlier this year.
Sometime in February, the man of God updated his Facebook profile picture with that of Jonathan, the presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) kneeling before him for prayer while he changed his cover photo to his prayer session with stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by its Vice-Presidential candidate and a pastor of the church, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
On February 6, the president had attended the monthly Holy Ghost Service of the RCCG at the Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, where he urged Nigerians to pray for a peaceful election.
